The Art Park Project is a scale model of a proposed theme park. The Layout of the park is divided into four sectors (or quarters). The American quarter, The Euro quarters (North and South) and The Edutainment quarter. The central canal opens out into two lakes at each end and patrons can cruise aboard The Winslow Homer from one side of the park to the other. There are many eating and entertainment facilities, but the main attraction of the park is the multitude of buildings and monuments dedicated to the history of Western visual arts. This includes replicas of famous artists' homes and studios as well as famous haunts and 'hang-outs' from art history. Reproductions of buildings from artworks and artworks themselves are throughout the park. Well known land art monuments such as Robert Smithson's Spiral Jetty and Walter de Maria's Lightning Field are major drawcards.
